A day by the lake
My good friend and fishing partner Roy and I, decided to have a day by one of our favourite fishing lakes. The main lake at Newbridges Lakes is teeming with fish, well laid out, comfortable and is a pretty, peaceful environment to be around, especially with decent weather.
We saw a heron fly past making a lot of noise as it flopped into a willow tree (camera out of reach!), a kingfisher making a beeline back home, a sizeable number of large carp basking in the sun with absolutely no interest in feeding and we caught fish as well. All in all, a lovely day out. The is the view from our side of the lake – perfect.
