I hadn't been to a Premier league ground for a while so the visit to The city Ground was something I had been looking forward to. A clash between the ladies who have had a disappointing last couple of games and the league leaders.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a welcome team, assigned our passes and shown where things were and told what we could and couldn't do - a nice touch.

The Forest girls took the lead in the first half with a looping cross that found its way into the net. Abi made a few great saves to keep the score at 1-0 by the end of the first half. The Hull ladies battled away at the second half start but couldn't break through the Forest defence and it was mostly the Forest attack that brought the best out of a solid Hull defence. Then, approaching the end of the half, Helen Lynskey fired a free kick across the goal mouth and Captain Ellie Tanser was there to head home to give us parity. The remainder of the game was a nail biting affair but we hung on until the end for a deserved point on the road. Fantastic effort by the ladies and the backroom team in being prepared for this one.

There's a full album of the game on my nigeldaltonphotography page on Facebook including the sequence from the goal and also of a couple of Abi's saves. Here are some other images which show our commitment and effort.
