The Peak District

For my birthday this year, Sue took me to Hartington in the Peak District for a couple of days walking in the fresh air. We’d tried to go earlier in the year but were snowed out so to speak. We’d planned to go down Dovedale and via Milldale up to Alstonefield for a pint, and  also to Beresford Dale, Wolfescote Dale and perhaps some of the Tissington Trail to finish off. Here’s an image of the bridge just as you come in to Milldale.

We were blessed with good weather. Our watering hole was the Charles Cotton in Hartington and we were well looked after by Alan and Judy and their team.

There was a beautiful old Delage in the car park there when we arrived so I took a few pictures before it went
