This year we decided to take a break nearer home and after receiving recommendations from Sue's friends at netball, we booked into Wrea Head Hall near Scarborough.
The journey wasn't tortuous as many Festive season journeys can be and we arrived in good time. The same sentiments from other guests who had travelled up here so we were pleased to have missed any bad weather and motorway issues.
We were well looked after by the team at Wrea Head Hall with good food & wine and attentive service.
Boxing Day saw us venture to Dalby Forest for a look around, stretch the legs and take advantage of really fine weather. Cold, but sunny and good walking weather for us.
The return journey was as uneventful as the one there - we had a Merry Christmas and hope you did as well.
