Med Birthday Cruise

A flight to Palma from our local airport then pick up a cruise ship to go round the Med for my birthday. It didn't start well - the taxi we booked to take us to the airport denied all knowledge of the booking so we won't be using him again - I had to drive and arrange airport car parking en route.

The first full day was at sea, followed by a visit to Olbia in Sardinia where we just walked around the town. A lovely main street with musicians performing added extra interest. We then went to Salerno and again, just walked around the town. The Cathedral was lovely but the crypt was stunning. The farewell from the quayside was memorable - they got a decent sized PA out and the staff played "Time to say Goodbye" whilst waving big hands and dancing.

The rest of the trip was much the same, just taking in the local sights rather than going on trips. So we had walks round Civitavecchia, Ajaccio and Palamos before returning to Palma for our trip back home. Lovely present thank you Sue.

Here's a few pictures :-
