My last game of the season with the ladies and a trip on the coach to Wirksworth where Derby hold their home games. A nice team of people there - thanks for all their help and hospitality.

We started very quickly in the first few minutes with a run down the left wing from Rachael Ackroyd and a cross into the box which was met by Hope Knight and poked past the Derby keeper for an early 1-0 lead. From then on, Derby put the pressure on but we kept responding and it was from a great corner by Lily Cockerill that descended into the middle of the box that Ellie Tanser stuck out her right foot and was able to beat the kepper for a 2-0 lead which we maintained until half time. The second half saw us have more chances, especially one from Helen Lynskey that was centimeters wide. However, the home team managed to put one past Abi Wallace to make it 2-1 and it would stay that way until the end. A valuable 3 points on the road against a team higher than us in the league - not a bad way to finish off my season with the team. There's a full album of images on my nigeldaltonphotography Facebook page but here are a few samples from the action. Thank you ladies!
